Penang, good food and awesome memories

Time has passed by too fast. Am back in Canberra again. feeling homesick and all but work is work. I have to put on a brave front for all, when i'm longing to be home, with my dog, family and friends and not here in this dead city.

I can't wait to be back, but will I make a trip back? Not sure..... should be 2 years down the road. That's more depressing as I think about it each day. I want to make a trip back, to celebrate my Big sar 0 birthday with family and friends, but I'm not sure whether I'm that lucky to make a trip back that time. All I can hope is time passes by faster.... but never the case.

But then, I had the most incredible time back in Penang. With friends and family. With my Cheszter and doing what I do best...EAT EAT EAT EAT!!!!

The food above was ordered by myself and my bestie. The 2 of us must be damn hungry coz we ordered nearly 8 dishes but tah pau some home, coz we were too greedy. ^_^

Also, the reason why I had to come back was because of my SIL's wedding ceremony, so one week was gone like that just because of the wedding preparation etc. Second week, just meeting friends and spending time with my family, and yes that includes my precious Cheszter.

Had to go KL for Hubz business meeting with his bosses, so there are pictures of my KL trip, but then nothing much, coz this time, I didn't have enough courage to be a cw. I guess with the lack of cw in Canberra, I lost my "touch"... OH NO!!!!!! I also didn't have enough time to hang out with my PCD. Only had to spare a few hours of lunch/coffee with them.



Of course, there's also dad's suprise birthday party, which we all pulled it off. As usual, busy entertaining people till I didn't take pictures again. Luckily my cousz was awesome, and she helped me with the photo taking while I was worrying about the food and the guest. I only had 2 plates of food that night minus the ice kacang and dad's birthday cake - lychee flan from Ritz... yumyum! The green tea cake was gone...... and everyone was raving about how good that blurdy cake is :(

I even forgot about the seafood buffet spread, which I'm suppose to take a picture with. Oh well, maybe next time for my big 3-0 celebration then.




I also did some serious shopping when I was back in Penang. I went to KL and shop till I drop. The purple dress I wore for my SIL's wedding is from Tangoo in Pavilion and it cost me a bomb. Of course, not letting hubby know. If not, I also kena bomb! From the picture above, you will also see a very familiar bag, which I got from the Gardens, hehehe.... Another secret indulgence for myself. Before leaving for Canberra, I settled my credit card debts that I've spend in Penang using my daddy dearest "supp" card. The thing is, my dearest dad and mom did not even take the money but gave it back to me. For my own use, so thank you dad and mom for giving me the best time of my married life and also for the shopping presents - 'essentials' that I've purchased throughout my stay.
